British Bus Bar

WELCOME TO BRITISH BUS BAR

British Bus Bar is a 1963 Routemaster London Bus beautifully renovated to include a fully licensed static bus bar. We cater for all types of events Public, Private and Corporate.

It is our aim to tailor our service to suit your personal requirements and we will be as flexible as possible.

British Bus Bar was bought by Netty and Wayne in April 2014. From April to November 2014 “Daisy” as she was named, was renovated and has a beautifully fitted bar downstairs with tables and seating upstairs for 22 people.

Being based in the Midlands it is easy to use the motorway networks to travel further afield and we frequently do! We provide a full a range of drinks as you would expect to find in your local pub. This includes Lagers and Ciders on draft; 1664, San Miguel, Fosters and Strongbow (as of 2019 we will be selling Strongbow dark fruits on draft as well).

We always have Real Ales provided by Purity from just outside Warwick and for our larger events we sell this fresh from the keg.

We also do a range of bottled Lagers and Ciders, Guinness (on a surger) Wines, Prosecco, Pimms in the Summertime and Mulled Wine in the Winter. There are a range of spirits and we now have a fabulous Gin Bar. Of course, we cater for those that prefer something non-alcoholic selling both alcohol free lager and cider along with a variety of soft drinks.

British Bus Bar is run by couple Wayne Hollobone and Netty Miles along with the help of family and close friends.

When Netty and Wayne met in 2012 it wasn’t long before they started talking about going into business together and stumbled upon the idea of a mobile bar.  The idea of bringing something iconic like a 1960’s London Bus and a bar together was something that they grew more and more excited about.  At first it felt like a pipe dream but it came to fruition in 2014.

They went as far as Poland in search of the perfect bus for their business and eventually purchased “Daisy” from a company in the UK.

It took 7 months to restore Daisy to her former glory and have the bar installed and then a further 3 months for Netty and Wayne to add the finishing touches. The first British Bus Bar event took place in February 2015.

Both Netty and Wayne work during the week in completely different fields of work.  And the license trade is something they are both new to, but have thrown themselves into it and thoroughly enjoy it. Both agree that finding someone in life who is also prepared to step out there and take a risk is exciting and paying off as the business grows. It was important to both Netty and Wayne that the business is fun and sociable and it certainly is both of those.

Hi Netty and Wayne. We just wanted to say thank you for all of your generosity and help on such a special day. Yourselves and Daisy were amazing and we really appreciate what you have done. We will continue to recommend your beautiful service to friends and family.
Thank you also for your lovely card and gifts, they are beautiful. The wedding is due to be aired on the 14th July on Lorraine just in case you want to see it.

Hi, I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you so much for making our party so special. The bus was absolutely the star of the night – it was a real talking point, but was also a lovely space for people to sit and spend time in. Lots of people commented on how good the range of drinks was. I assumed we would have to compromise on that because of how little space you have to work in, but I’ve been in pubs with less variety on offer. Thank you also for going to so much trouble to get in the local beer we asked for. You really couldn’t have done more for us & I am so glad we had you at our event. It was lovely to meet you, and I wish you all the very best for the future.
Lucy
